My Friend’s Boobs

This series celebrates femininity and the beauty of every women’s body, regardless of age, race, size, history or health.  I am fortunate to say that I have a close connection with the women represented, and I am honored they wanted to be involved.

My goal is to convey female empowerment with an  element of vulnerability.  Each of the women here had a different reason why they wanted to participate, and I hope I was able to represent their story through these drawings.

Artist Statement

Eliza is a painter that focuses on portraiture and abstract expression. Her work attempts to capture the internal world of her subjects while exploring the contours of aging. Eliza captures the harsh lines of worn skin, and the way the body yields with time and emotion.

Currently based in London, England, Eliza graduated Syracuse University with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts, winning the Hiram Gee and Roswell Hill painting awards in her last two years. After graduation, Eliza lived in Boston and New York, where she exhibited her work in ART 100 Boston, and solo shows in both cities before moving to the UK.  She currently works in commissions.
